I decided that I had to bring some American traditions to the New Zealand Christmas table. So I cooked up a real delicacy: mashed sweet potatoes (actually, it was kumara which is a New Zealand sweet potato) with marshmallows on top. Notice that the marshmallows are red, white and green and in Christmas tree shapes. What can I say! It all got eaten.
